These particular pumpkins were recommended on an independent gardening forum that I'm a member of, for resistance to squash vine borers, [Once they get past the seedling stage, the vines are supposedly too tough for them to penetrate] and also they're said to be great for cooking and pies. Since the gardeners on the forum are serious growers, [and I happen to love anything pumpkin!] I decided to give these a try. This company was prompt, price was right,[these seeds can be expensive!] and so far, my plants are happily growing in the pumpkin patch. I'll post our end of season results later....
