This is the same common type used in China, Taiwan and Japan as a common food and treatment for diabetes and has worked well for me in the past. I was glad to find a source to get the same kind I eat overseas . It can be cooked in stir frys Soups and with eggs . I give it 5 stars but if your not use to it I would suggest eating it while its on the young side because it will be less bitter at that time.

Sow in a warm sunny location after the last spring frost. Soak seeds overnight before planting. Plant in rows 24"-30" apart, 3/4" to 1" deep in fertile well-drained soil. Train to a 4' trellis.
